Гюрза, или левантская гадюка (Macrovipera lebetina) — самая большая из наших гадюк и одна из самых опасных среди ядовитых змей. Ее яд уступает по токсичности только яду кобры! При укусе эта змея вводит 50 миллиграмм яда, и без своевременного и правильного лечения гибель жертвы неизбежна.
Время броска гюрзы — 0,08 секунд (быстрее кобры). Время реакции человека — 0,1-0,2 секунды, поэтому люди практически не способны среагировать на бросок этой змеи.
